Bernard Mathieu, HOP3 Managing Director, has 25 years’ experience in the energy intensive industrial sector, with direct responsibility for climate strategies, greenhouse gases emission mitigation plans, CO2 trading, biodiversity, circular economy, social responsibility and related public affairs activities. He was directly engaged in various associations and project groups addressing the climate challenge, including with the International Energy Agency and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. He participated to 4 Conference of Parties (COPs) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and to many high-level international events as speaker. In 2024, Bernard has been recognized as expert to the EU Commission in sustainability and industrial decarbonisation.
In 2018, Cécile Moreau (former Group Sustainability Communication Manager for HeidlebergCement) joined as head of HOP Connect to reinforce project coordination and impact, and integrates stakeholder communication into HOP3 catalogue of services.
In 2023, HOP³ broadened its portfolio of services to integrate carbon capture solutions and Akhilesh Gupta (GreenOps) joined HOP3 as an associated partner. Akhilesh was the former CTO of Carmeuse Group and Global Technical Director for HeidelbergCement. He is therefore focussing on HOP Capture and the development of the technical side of Carbon capture & sequestration projects in Europe.
In 2025, HOP3 joined forces with Claude Lorea (CL4Change). Claude is highly respected leader in European and global public affairs, industrial decarbonisation and sustainability.
